Considered as selected gastronomy, prices in this kind of places go sky-high. For social prestige one has to order plenty of food and leave it on the table to the view of others. Dishes are set around the table to be shared, picking from them with chopsticks.
And if behaviors are changing, most still prefer to hang out with friends or colleagues around a big meal rather than to go out for a drink (nevertheless, this doesn’t stop people from drinking bottle after bottle of beer or ice alcohol in restaurants).
